Reaching out to LSP Community Berlin!
Reaching out to the community to help take this project forward.

#The LSP Community is Bigger than I thought
I started posting about BrickThink in many community groups on LinkedIn, and I was surprised by how many messages I received. Many people were experiencing the same struggles getting to use LSP in their day-to-day work, and with teams being scattered. One person told me it took 3 months of logistics and organising to get the team in one place, and by then, the subject had moved on from what she wanted to plan the workshop for. She also mentioned that she would often deal with backlash from her managers for using the methodology because they didn't see its value (Guess they haven't been in one to say something like this). I explained the workings of BrickThink to her, and she is now a regular user who often posts feedback and ideas to me on how to take this forward.
I was then contacted by Christine Bräunig from the LSP Community in Berlin, who sparked a strong interest in the application. One of the key questions I got from her was "Where do you want to take this?" and my answer was very straightforward. I want to keep this application a purely open-source project that many can use and bring this methodology to many teams working remotely. I think this is the next stage for us as a community to bring this to the masses and to the people who don't have the luxury of using this methodology across teams that are working in this way. I believe that it will never ever replace the real thing, and it shouldn't, in my opinion. If you have the chance to do this in person then go for it. Hmmm, this could be an idea for later, but we could help companies sponsor their teams to attend in person. Food for thought later, I guess.
I am looking forward to working with Christine as she has the energy and enthusiasm in this space, and I can tell right away she has the knowledge and skills in this area that can help me further develop this application to be better. We are planning a day to demo this, so wait for the dates, and I will be posting this up soon.
